Impact of Giving

TESTING

The money you give to UMBC – 100% of it – goes directly to the program or priority of your choice. Many donors choose to give to top funding priorities of the university, as designated on the online giving site and other materials. Still others choose to support an academic department, athletic program, club or other initiative that’s meaningful to them.

This chart shows just some of the ways money from the UMBC Annual Fund raised in FY 10 was distributed:

Scholars (Merit and Need-Based) $107,000
Parent Communications $30,000
Living Learning Communities $25,000
The Learning Center at the AOK Library $25,000
Dissertation Completion $18,000
CWIT (Center for Women and Information Technology) $15,000
Career Center $10,000

Imagine what we could all do together.

Imagine what we could all do together. You know that every little bit counts, but it becomes even clearer when you see what might be possible if each of UMBC’s more than 50,000 alumni made a gift to the UMBC Annual Fund:

• If every alum gave $10, UMBC would have $500,000 to fund new scholarships, research opportunities, faculty training, and more…

• If every alum gave $15, UMBC would have $750,000…

• If every alum gave $20, UMBC would have $1 million…
